After six years, the Banat Tour made its much-anticipated return in September 2024, bringing together researchers and heritage enthusiasts for an 18-day journey through landscapes filled with ancestral history. The adventure began in Frankfurt, where our group of curious travelers set off on a carefully planned route through regions that echoed with the stories of their past.

We traveled through the heart of Lorraine and the Palatinate, made memorable stops in Sindelfingen and Ulm, and took in the views from the Schildgebirge heights. Each destination revealed unique stories and connections, deepening everyone’s ties to their heritage. Arriving in Budapest, we were on the threshold of the Serbian and Romanian Banat and the landscapes of Bačka, where the group explored the diverse cultural and historical legacy of these regions.

The route was designed to be personal and intimate, making sure everyone had the chance to visit places close to their hearts.
